Golden Teacher is a Psilocybe cubensis variety that has been cultivated and studied for decades. That history matters more than it sounds: because it has been grown so widely for so long, its behaviour is unusually well understood and consistent from batch to batch. You are not gambling on an unknown.

The name comes from two things — the distinctly golden caps, and a long-standing reputation for producing a reflective, instructive experience rather than an overwhelming one. People typically describe warmth, a clear headspace, and a gentle visual character. Pronounced enough to be worth doing; forgiving enough that a slightly misjudged amount doesn't ruin an afternoon.
